Kosher Tales From The Deli

From Mike Beane's Blog

About

Kosher Tales From The Deli is a fiction album collection of various music that Rabbi Bob has either created, participated in or mashed together during fits of boredom from 1997 to 2007.

The timing is off, leveling is off, the pitch is off and the only thing we know is that Rabbi Bob's music at best was just barely kosher.

In case anyone misses it, this page is a joke.

Tracks

Sleeper39

Recorded in one take with a drummer he had met 15 minutes prior, Sleeper39 marks the end of Rabbi Bob's Naval career and his return to civilian life. <flashmp3>http://www.rabbibob.com/uploads/music/Sleeper39_1997.mp3%7Cautostart=no%7Cloop=no%7CfirstTrackName=Sleeper39_1997</flashmp3>

KaChink

(Featuring The Shipwrecks) - J Mershon on drums and Rabbi Bob on rhythm and 1st lead, then John Ray on 2nd lead. Unfortunately the master tape was lost and Bob was never able to redo that 1st lead, making this track nearly non-kosher. January 1997

Not This Time

Fiddling with with a Roland drum machine, this tune ended up being the backing track to a Counterstrike video on YouTube. 200? <flashmp3>http://www.rabbibob.com/uploads/Not This Time.mp3|autostart=no|loop=no|firstTrackName=Not This Time</flashmp3>

Tuney Tuesday

Recorded as the 'Tuney Tuesday' lead in for Dawn and Drew. 2007 <flashmp3>http://www.rabbibob.com/uploads/TuneyTuesday.mp3%7Cautostart=no%7Cloop=no%7CfirstTrackName=TuneyTuesday</flashmp3>

Welcome

(Concept Demo) - No rhythm, but the concept is nice. 2006 <flashmp3>http://www.rabbibob.com/uploads/music/welcome.mp3%7Cautostart=no%7Cloop=no%7CfirstTrackName=Welcome</flashmp3>

The Walk

Some 'Staying Alive' acoustic vibe. 1999 <flashmp3>http://www.rabbibob.com/uploads/music/TheWalk.mp3%7Cautostart=no%7Cloop=no%7CfirstTrackName=The Walk</flashmp3>

When Simpsons Cry Remix

Mixed on a Quantex P200 in 1998, this was mashup before there were mashups!

Mars_Remix

This boiling pot of sound bytes includes Bob's reaction to Samuel L Jackson starring as Mace Windu in The Phantom Menace (crossing Pulp Fiction with Star Wars) among many other characters of the time (see Mars Remix for a list of references). Created in 1998 and contains Explicit Expletives and Suggestive Suggestions <flashmp3>http://www.rabbibob.com/uploads/music/MARS.MP3%7Cautostart=no%7Cloop=no%7CfirstTrackName=Mars Remix</flashmp3>

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Featuring Erin B. Awhile back, Bob had I recorded Erin while testing out an mp3 recorder and then later that same week while playing on a classical guitar, he noodled around and played Twinkle Twinkle on it. Later, after reviewing what he had on the recorder, Bob found the two recordings and put them together. <flashmp3>http://www.rabbibob.com/uploads/Erin_TwinkleTwinkle.mp3%7Cautostart=no%7Cloop=no%7CfirstTrackName=Twinkle Twinkle Little Star</flashmp3>
